At three p.m. residents in Petersburg gathered at the court-house flag pole to join a national campaign to recite the pledge of allegiance. Ike Sriskandarjah asks the ladies of the emblem club what is “Americanism.”
Those were the voices of Sally Dweyer, Linda Tolson and Buela Luhr. The emblem club drew about sixteen people to the event and hope for more next year.
