A trail crew working all summer long to make it easier for people to walk to the top of Petersburg Mountain. The base to half-way up the mountain was made out of a mud Alaskans call "muskeg"...the top was snow. The mountain itself was on an island in South East AK, surrounded by 17 million acres of Tongass rain forest, separated by glaciers. My first statewide story in 2007, and what a state.
